Karen Fleming
Karen is the CEO and Founder of Alere Care and Support, with over 20 years of experience in the disability industry. Karen founded Alere to do things differently — to create a service that truly puts people first.
After years in the sector, Karen made the decision to branch off independently to deliver support in a way that genuinely reflects her values and vision. She's deeply passionate about empowering people with disability to grow, build confidence, and live life on their own terms. Alere was founded on these principles, with a strong focus on person-centred care, meaningful relationships, and helping people achieve the life they want to live.
Luke
Luke brings a diverse background across corrective services, health, aged care, and the NDIS, giving him a well-rounded understanding of support services and the people they serve. With a strong foundation in HR and administration, Luke ensures everything runs smoothly behind the scenes while keeping people at the centre of every decision.
Luke is passionate about person-centred care and is known for his ability to organise people, processes, and productivity. He excels at creating structured schedules and streamlined support systems that help teams work efficiently and ensure participants receive consistent, high-quality care.
Ellie
Ellie plays a key role in ensuring our day-to-day operations run smoothly and efficiently. Highly organised and detail-focused, Ellie supports essential administrative processes that keep the service functioning effectively and compliantly.
She oversees documentation management, coordination with internal teams, and operational workflows. Ellie also provides administrative support for key financial functions including invoicing, payroll processing, and reporting, ensuring accuracy and consistency across systems.
Outside of work, Ellie enjoys going to the gym and staying active. Her positive, energetic outlook contributes to a supportive and welcoming team environment.
